Travel Journal Kit

I put together this kit of journalling supplies to take with me on holiday. I tried to only pick things I'm sure I'm going to use, but it wasn't easy to choose because I have so much stuff!

First of all I got some essential tools: pen, glue pen, a small pair of scissors and a black chalk ink pad.

Next I picked out some assorted travel-themed die-cuts from Kaisercraft and Simple Stories.

Then I chose these three stamps from Lora Bailora and Kelly Purkey. I can't wait to use the London set, it's so cool!

Of course I need a bit of washi too...

...and a bunch of stickers.

And it all fits perfectly in a puch from Freckled Fawn!

I can't wait to journal my trip in my traveler's notebook every day. Now if only it was this much fun to pack my suitcase...

Cathing up on Project Life: 15 April 2016

I'm so far behind on my project life album it isn't funny, so I'm trying to let go of the idea that everything has to be done in chronological order and instead do whatever pictures I feel like scrapping at the time. This page is from April, when I went to see a show with two of Norway's most well-known artists, and got to meet them afterwards.

The page is very simple and didn't take long to make. I've been waiting for the perfect occasion to use that Love Love Love card from a cut-apart sheet by Bella Blvd, and I finally found it. The other cards are also from Bella Blvd, except the title card which is from Simple Stories. The Big Bite stamp is from the Kelly Purkey Food Coma stamp set.

The thickers are Amy Tangerine After Glow (my favourite thickers ever), and I sprinkled some enamel dots around the page just to add a bit more colour.

Daisy Dori Travel Journal

I'm going on holiday later this month, and I've decided to take my traveler's notebook with me to journal on the go. I've never done that before, I usually wait until I'm home to print photos and journal a bit, but I thought it would be fun to document my holiday as it is happening.

My TN is a gorgeous red PU leather fauxdori from Two Bowls of Fish. I'm using the September Daisy Dori from Cocoa Daisy as my journal insert – it is perfect with the beautiful map theme. I wanted to dress it up a little, so I decorated the front with a journal card from Me & My Big Ideas, washi tape from Cocoa Daisy and a world map stamp from Lora Bailora.

I'll be going to two different cities on my trip, so I'm going to use the first half of the booklet for Drammen and the second half for London. I stapled on some tabs from the Daisy Dori kit to help me find the sections easier and labelled them with Tim Holtz Idea-ology mini alphas.

I'm so excited about taking my TN with me on my trip! By journalling on the go I hope to document a lot more memories than I would if I waited until I got home (and maybe a few months after that!). I don't have a portable printer so I'll have to mark where I want my photos to go and print them afterwards, but I don't think that will be a problem.

I'm also putting together a little kit of essential journaling items to take with me. I'll be sure to share that before I leave.
